MANAGEMENT OF EMPLOYEES

When you have a business, you need to hire applicants as your employees. If you have many employees in your company, you need management of people. Either you do it by yourself or create a Human Resources Development (HRD) to have the task of overseeing company's personnel, records, employment, termination, other concern problems of the employees. Your HRD is in-charge in individual skills, performances, efficiency, potentials, promotion of employees as well as their welfare and condition. Your HRD will initiate the necessary rules and regulation, policies and procedures as guide for employees to adhere all restriction set by the company for their prevention and control. As an additional benefits, your company can initiate programs as an incentive to those deserving employees that have good performance.

There are many functions your HRD had to implement at the start of your business:

She is in-charge in the recruitment of qualified applicants to fill up requirements of the different department. She will conduct interviews based on the application letter and Personal Data Sheet. She evaluates their training and experiences from their previous employer. She screens fresh graduate from their corresponding field of knowledge. All this information are necessary for your HRD's decision to hire by selecting those qualified for the position.

Your HRD then conduct training for the hired employees for their knowledge of the job and advancement of their current position. The trainer will do actual training job of newly hired employees based on company's guidelines. The training will continue until the employees are completely brief their individual function.

The most important function of the HRD is to disseminate to employees the policies and procedures that they will observe, follow and comply strictly.

HRD is in-charge in scheduling vacation leave of employees. During extreme emergencies, she can grant 15 days vacation and sick leave as their privilege and main benefits. HRD is task to ensure that employees are insured and have a good health and accident benefits.

HRD also has function to impose disciplinary action to erring employees and can recommend termination based on the degree of their offense. The same way, your HRD can recommend promotion to desirable employees for a higher position and better salary.

Managing people is one way of putting in order all personnel in an organization. Their functions is under HRD's direction and in accordance with the existing company's guidelines for smooth and better management so that the company can operate effectively.

LEARN TO BE A GOOD BUSINESSMAN

Owning a business is the dream of everyone. The problem is how to be a good businessman, how to be successful in his career as entrepreneur. Owning a business is easy if you have the money. To become successful is the hardest thing to achieve.

If you are determine to try your luck in business then there is no reason why you cannot continue your desire either it will be a success or failure. Your motivation will drive you to start the business as early as possible. You have the resources, equipment and personnel and support from your family. How can you do this?

-As an entrepreneur, you will decide alone what you believe it benefits your business. You are the superior of your own company. No one will argue with you.

-To cope with the increase demand of time you should have enough energy. Your stamina (physically or mentally) is needed to manage with the pressures. This is in preparation for the actual operation of your business.

-There are lot of problems ahead while you are on your way to start the business but don't be discourage. Determination is the only way for you to go on.

-Organize everything. Plan ahead. Make a list of the important items you need, the number of personnel, your stock inventory, the design of your store, the placement of your storage area and so on and so forth. You have to give attention all of these in order for you to hit your timetable. If there's a problem ahead, settle it first. Use all your initiative to remove any hindrances and difficulties so that you can run your business smoothly.

-It is helpful seeking advice from your friends, other persons who were already a successful businessmen. Their pointers is helpful for you to have a good performance in your business.

-A good entrepreneur know how to act on many important things. He knows how to do the work of his employees. He is not always be the boss on top. He should also do other function besides being a superior.

-Be confident. Be positive in your direction. Have faith in your instinct and experiences. This an effective tool to put your business in order.

-Lead your men. Be a good manager. Encourage them to be efficient in their job. Give them inspiration. Seek their loyalty. Delegate some of your functions to them so that there will be a healthy relationship among your men.

-Be responsible and accountable in making decisions. You are the owner, the success of the business will depend on you. Make a wise decision.

-Seek the help of your family. Include the participation of your children. They may know better that you don't know.

-Learn competition in your area. Just devise a system to have more customers. If the price of your goods is lesser compared to others there is a great chance that they will buy your products. Consumers are very optimistic about the price of the products. They are now more mature to select the best price.

HAVE AN EFFICIENT LEADERSHIP

An efficient leadership has the ability to organize something of importance. A leader must be a master of all things that will affect his organization and position. He is willing in relegating details of his work to his capable employees.

A good leader is willing to face the demand of his work and perform it rather than asking others to do it. He is willing to exert extra effort to get things done. He welcomes improvement in his work.

The leader must not develop fear that one of his followers will take his position instead he will train an employee to whom he may delegate, at will, any of the details of his position. By doing this action, he can focus on other problem needing his attention.

An efficient leader increases the efficiency of his subordinates and induce them to work more without his aid.

A good leader is capable of meeting emergencies or creating plans to guide his followers efficiently.

A true leader is not selfish. He is happy to see the honors go to his followers. He knew that most of his men will work harder to gain commendation and recognition from their assigned tasks.

A good leader requires no title. It is enough for him the respect of his followers.

WHAT IS YOUR GOAL?

Bear in mind that a simple act of setting a goal forces you to focus on something specific. It leads you where to channel and direct your energies. It puts more weight and structure in your life. Nothing can be more frustrating with no clear ideas where you go and how to accomplish. It can only be determine if you have a goal to work out the you can measure its true potential.

By writing down your goals is important. You can examine the goal you set for its effectiveness. You have to indicate clearly and firmly what you want to achieve from your goal.

Plan your action. It must consist specific activities. Analyze where you are now and do exactly what you want in order to get there.

Gauge your performance every day. Measure your progress in meeting your goals. Keep a record that you can review and analyze. You may find something more appropriate to improve yourself. Find out why and what else you can do to get back on target.

Having your own records is your tool to review your accomplishment and set right any of your inefficiency. Do something about them. Although goals cannot be achieve immediately but if you have a good ideas how to achieve it then go and reach them.

When you write down your goal, thick twice. It must be specific and realistic. It will be your commitment to achieve more and earn more.

HAVE A GOOD BUSINESS PLAN

A complete business plan has complete details of action for resources, manpower and equipment. Before starting the business, you should know all the available information that can guide you. Consider competition, the economics, buyers, sellers and your distribution outlet.

Using internet as a tool to sell product online has a great advantage because you can expand and have unlimited opportunities you can find. There are many brochures, articles and other information of great importance in the web. Using this materials as your guide to act accordingly.

Suppliers and users are the key players for your business success. If you have the continuous flow of customers because of the best services you offered to them can promote a better strategy to have this customers to become a repeat buyers.

There are many products you can sell and distribute directly to the distribution store outlet. You can even sell directly to the consumers by using an in-house selling. You can use ads promoting your product. You can use radio station and even TV advertising and other kind of promotions in giving your products great advantage against competition.

Use your own sales force to distribute your products to all levels of consumers where the demands are great. If you have your own physical distribution outlet, the more your sales will go up. Do your own sales forecasting as your guide to determine sales potential and reasonable margin of profit during the month as your basis to see its profitability. Explore all kinds of possibilities, its market potential and demand. This will enable you to know everything to anticipate whatever problems you encounter ahead.

Have a complete knowledge of your competitors. They are a threat to your business. List them and find their weakness and strength. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS YOU WANT TO START?

If you don't know what kind of business you are planning to explore, be sure to start a business you know intimately. Don't start a business without knowing everything. You must consider its advantages and disadvantages to be able to come up with a decision. A potential customer will not give his hard-earned money if they are not sure in getting back their money's worth. You have to convince them honestly.

To start a business with experience is a sure thing. That knowledge can be used to decide what you want. Consider everything: training, skills, contacts and financing. Without a steady flow of potential customers and suppliers, you cannot save your effort of putting everything.. just for nothing.
