MANAGEMENT OF EMPLOYEES

When you have a business, you need to hire applicants as your employees. If you have many employees in your company, you need management of people. Either you do it by yourself or create a Human Resources Development (HRD) to have the task of overseeing company's personnel, records, employment, termination, other concern problems of the employees. Your HRD is in-charge in individual skills, performances, efficiency, potentials, promotion of employees as well as their welfare and condition. Your HRD will initiate the necessary rules and regulation, policies and procedures as guide for employees to adhere all restriction set by the company for their prevention and control. As an additional benefits, your company can initiate programs as an incentive to those deserving employees that have good performance.

There are many functions your HRD had to implement at the start of your business:

She is in-charge in the recruitment of qualified applicants to fill up requirements of the different department. She will conduct interviews based on the application letter and Personal Data Sheet. She evaluates their training and experiences from their previous employer. She screens fresh graduate from their corresponding field of knowledge. All this information are necessary for your HRD's decision to hire by selecting those qualified for the position.

Your HRD then conduct training for the hired employees for their knowledge of the job and advancement of their current position. The trainer will do actual training job of newly hired employees based on company's guidelines. The training will continue until the employees are completely brief their individual function.

The most important function of the HRD is to disseminate to employees the policies and procedures that they will observe, follow and comply strictly.

HRD is in-charge in scheduling vacation leave of employees. During extreme emergencies, she can grant 15 days vacation and sick leave as their privilege and main benefits. HRD is task to ensure that employees are insured and have a good health and accident benefits.

HRD also has function to impose disciplinary action to erring employees and can recommend termination based on the degree of their offense. The same way, your HRD can recommend promotion to desirable employees for a higher position and better salary.

Managing people is one way of putting in order all personnel in an organization. Their functions is under HRD's direction and in accordance with the existing company's guidelines for smooth and better management so that the company can operate effectively.
